Can a Malone Cargo16 Rooftop Cargo Box and Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier Be Used Together

Malone Cargo16 Rooftop Cargo Box - Item # MPG902 Would this fit beside or side-by-side the Malone Downloader kayak rack Item # MPG114MD on a 2020 Toyota Highlander Hybrid factory racks? Looking for something soft or hardshell that would fit next to the kayak on top for inflatable kayak, tubes and other gear that gets wet that I dont want inside the car so we have room for kids in the 3rd row.

I tried to find the width of the factory roof rack on your 2020 Toyota Highlander but was unable to do so. You will need to measure your crossbar width to verify fitment.
The Malone Cargo16 Rooftop Cargo Box # MPG902 is 27-7/8" wide and the Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG114MD is 6" wide (your kayak would make this a little wider). These equal approximately 34" in total width between the 2 carriers. As long as your crossbars measure wide enough to allow these carrier to be mounted and operate (I would say at least 40" wide) then they can be used together. The other thing you would want to consider is the weight capacity of your roof rack. You would want to ensure that the total weight between both carriers and cargo does not exceed the roof rack limits. The two carriers have a combined weight of 38.2 lbs.
I have included a picture of each carrier installed on a roof rack to give you a visual of the kind of space they take up.
