Question:

I bought used trailer and one marker light does not work. Upon investigation the marker light is not wired and wire is not visible. I tried accessing wire by removing light at the end of rail, but having difficulty the light and plastic housing will not slide out. I think the screw above both lights in rail needs to be removed but it is rusted. How can I remove the light on the end of rail to access wires. If I can gain access to wire I can purchase a marker light as replacement.

I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you're having with your Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer # Y08107!

However, the small light at the end of the frame rail is actually not replaceable. It comes as part of the entire left or right side frame rail assembly.

The wiring inside the frame rail has likely been damaged and that is the reason it is not functioning.

You can unbolt the frame rail on the affected side, and investigate all the wiring, to include all the connector and grounding wires. Or, even easier, you can replace the entire side with a brand new one.
