Question:

Have a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 short bed truck with a slide-in truck camper Lance 825. Looking to tow a boat behind it so Ill need a hitch extender. Whats compatible with my truck/recommended? I think ill need something at least 4 long to extend.

From what you described you need to do, it sounds like you are needing an extension of 4' (48"). While I do have an option for you, there is not currently any extender alone compatible with your current hitch on your 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 that will allow for that much extension.

The longest extender we have compatible with your current hitch is the Curt Extender for 2" Hitch Receivers # C45796 which is 18" long, you would also cut your hitch weight capacity by 50% using this extender.

In order to get the 4' (48") that you are needing, you would need to upgrade your hitch to the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLD1100 which would allow you to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1548 which is the 48" you are needing.
