Replacement Spar Tube Assembly for Thule T2 Pro XT - Black Item # 7524703002 For this replacement, does the locking mechanism stay the same? Will I have 2 different keys after the replacement is installed? Is there a way to retain the same key/lock to avoid having separate keys. Thanks!

With the Replacement Spar Tube Assembly # 7524703002 for your Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack # TH83JV you will be able to retain your same key and lock cylinder. You will simply remove your existing lock cylinder using the Universal Change Key # 853-1251 and place it inside the replacement Spar Tube. The Spar will not include a lock cylinder or key.
