Video Transcript for Review of Trimax Locks Trailer Tongue Lock - Chrome Trailer Coupler Latch 7/8 Inch - TMX26SR

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Trimax Chrome trailer coupler latch, or door lock. Now this is designed to prevent trailer theft by securing the trigger latch style ball coupler, and this does feature a hardened steel construction, making it resistant to cutting and tampering. And this is going to fit coupler latches with up to a 787 inch span, making this ideal for narrow trailer latches and door handles. And then if you notice, we do have a built-in rubber bumper that's going to prevent scratches to your trailer coupler while locking latch down.

This is weather resistant, includes this really nice tethered rubber cap and that's going to help keep that keyway free from moisture and debris. And so you're not gonna have to worry about that lock getting gunked up with dirt and debris and stuff like that. You are gonna get two tube keys. You give it a quarter of a turn and that's going to allow this to unlock. And this does have an advanced cylinder design and so it's gonna be, the lock's gonna be harder to drill and pick.

And the key, since they're tube keys are gonna be harder to duplicate. So I do have a coupler here and I just wanna give you a brief demonstration of how easy this is going to be to you. So I'm just going to run that pin through, just like that and then lock that into place. So as you can see, we're now secure and that's going to lock that coupler either onto the ball or if you don't have it onto a ball, prevent that from coupling to a ball. So it'll keep your trailer safe while it's unattended and then it's gonna be very easy to lock and unlock this.

The keys work really smoothly with this. The lock works real smooth as well. So the forged chrome plated steel construction I think is gonna do a good job of standing up against where rust, corrosion. And I think it's gonna hold up really well to the elements that it's basically gonna be constantly exposed to. It's a rather attractive looking as well.

So it's gonna really add to, it's gonna just add a nice touch to your towing setup. So really easy to use, great way to protect your investment.
