Replacement Leaf Springs for Cargo Mate Enclosed Trailer

Question:
Thanks for the info. Seems like my springs are the right measurement. My friend said the springs are actually rated higher than the stock ones. They have 5 leafs. The springs aren’t even a year old for reference. All the shackles, hangers, etc were replaced when this went out. When I jacked it up, it measures around 25 1/8” eye to eye. I guess it only squats about an inch when I set it back down. I’ll attach a few photos. It seems like not a lot of clearance in my opinion, but like I said I’ve never noticed how high is sat before. I’ll attach some photos of how it sits empty. I hope this makes sense, Thanks.

It is certainly possible that the springs have already worn out. One way or another, the leaf springs on your Cargo Mate enclosed trailer definitely should not be flat. Assuming you have the original hangers and shackle strap on the trailer and they were not replaced along with the leaf springs, I would say the worn out leaf springs are the reason you have lost the clearance with your axle.
From what I have found, it looks like your trailer has a 3,500 lb axle. I recommend verifying this to be sure. If that is the case, you will need 3,500 lb leaf springs to match. Along with the capacity you will also need to know the length of the leaf spring for a replacement. This is the eye to eye measurement on your leaf springs. Since these have elongated from going flat, new leaf springs will be slightly shorter so you need to account for this.
For example, if you measured your leaf springs and found that they were 26" long a suitable replacement would be the 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles # e54SR. These leaf springs have a spring eye to spring eye measurement of 25-1/8".
I have attached a helpful article on trailer suspension along with a link to all of our 3,500 lb leaf springs for your reference.
