Question:
Need to do a complete hub replacement. What do you recommend? Vin number of trailer is 5KTWS17189F565593

Expert Reply:
According to Karavan, your current inner and outer bearing are the # L44649 and your current hubs have a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern. There is no information on the axle capacity but based on the GVWR of 2,675 lbs for the trailer I would recommend the CE Smith Trailer Idler Hub Assembly w/ Case for 2.7K Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Galvanized - Pre-Greased # CE13315 as a replacement.
In addition to the hub, you will need to get a different seal since the # CE13315 uses a seal with a 1.50" inner diameter. Your current spindle needs a grease seal with a 1.25" inner diameter. For a grease seal that will fit you can use the # 34823.
