Question:
Need to change my 4 flat to 7 on 2021 Highlander Limited. I found most of the info on a previous question. Power wire 10g with 30 amp to black wire on adapter. Will be using Curt Echo to control the brakes. Blue and yellow wire to be taped off. But if I have a breakaway battery on my trailer, how will it draw power to charge? From main 12v or aux yellow 12v? Separate wire and breaker? What item #’s for this. Draw tight Max frame and Toyota brand 4 pin flat wire harness. Will still be towing a 4 pin trailer as well as new tandem trailer with brakes. But not at same time!!! Thank you

To use the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 on your 2021 Toyota Highlander with the 4-Way OEM trailer plug you just need the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L. This comes with everything you need for the 7-Way the Echo plugs into plus it has that 12V power wire that not only powers up the Echo but it also allows power to pass through to your trailer breakaway battery system.
