What locking options do you carry for securing the kayak carrier to the roof rack?

The Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG114MD can be locked by routing a locking cable like the etrailer # e98891 around them and your roof rack crossbars. If your crossbars have T-Slot then you could use the Cable Core Lockdown # RR43207 instead.
For a J-Style kayak carrier that has the ability to add locks for the carrier to the roof rack I recommend the Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier w/ Tie-Downs # Y04073. These are a nicer version of the J-Style and will be easier to install and use than the Malone option. You can also upgrade it to lock to your roof rack with the Lock Core Kit # Y07202.
