Roof Rack Recommendation for a 2006 Ram 2500 Mega Cab

While we have a couple great options for you, we do not carry a roof rack system that installs into your door jambs for your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab.

However, with that being said, we do carry a drill-on option. If you wish to go this route, I recommend the Rhino-Rack Aero Bar Roof Rack for Camper Shells - Track Mount # Y02-490B.

If you want to go with an option that doesn't require drilling, I recommend using the SeaSucker Monkey Bars # 298-SX6000B. Not only does the Monkey Bars include an impressive 150-pound weight capacity, it has the quickest installation and removal process out of all of our roof racks. For theft-deterrent locks, I recommend using the SeaSucker Window Anchor # 298-BA0010 along with the etrailer Cable Lock # e98891. I went ahead and attached a video that shows the incredible strength of the vacuum cups on the rack.

If you are open to an awning recommendation, I recommend one of the following Yakima SlimShady Awnings:

- # Y56VR (4-1/2' Long x 6-1/2' Wide)
- # Y36VR (6-1/2' Long x 6-1/2' Wide)
- # Y96VR (8' Long x 8' Wide)

With all of these models, you can simply clamp them onto the Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbars or to the Monkey Bars. Both racks recommended provide you with plenty of weight capacity.
