Question:
I have a 2inch Amber clearance light, similar to #MC53AB and a 2inch rubber grommet similar to #A54GB that I am trying to find a match for. My questions is, when #MC53AB and #A54GB from Optronics are properly assembled together, how far beyond the rubber grommet does the amber housing protrude. The light and grommet that I have, the light protrudes 3/8inch past the rubber grommet when installed, so it is visible from the side as well. Does this Optronics combination result in the same protrusion? I have attached a picture. My light is 2inch diameter by 11/16inch deep, with a KIT brandname marking on the lens, and no identifying markings for a part number. My matching grommet does not show a brand name, but has the numbers IT-G2/PL7920. I believe PL7920 is the part number. It has 6 rubber standoffs on the inside perimeter that the lamp rests on, giving it the proper protrusion. I have determined that the Trucklite Model 30 #30700TLT is an equivalent. Please let me know what the protrusion is for your combination, and if possible, send a picture, as I have.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled grommet # A54GB and light # MC53AB. I then assemble them and the result looks exactly like your picture. I then measured the amount the lens sticks up above the grommet and came up with just under half an inch. The lens could be pressed further in. I used digital calipers to take the measurement. I also made a video showing the assembled result for you.
The light takes wiring harness # A46PB if you do not already have them on your trailer.
