How To Fit SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box On Subaru Forester with Factory Rack

Question:

Hello, I recently purchased a SportRack Vista XL and the U-Bolts are too short to work with our Subaru Forester cross bars. Is there a U-Bolt that is compatible with the SportRack Vista XL and standard Forester cross bars. From the base of the U-Bolt where it wraps around the cross bar, to the threaded end is about 1.5. Im thinking 2 or 2.25inch might work? Its about 4.125inch wide. Thanks -Michael

The Replacement Mounting Hardware for SportRack and Thule Cargo Boxes part # SR04952 could be retrofitted to the SportRack Vista XL i.e. drilling new holes if applicable and they work with crossbars up to 1-9/16" tall x 3-3/4" wide which should fall inline with the needs of the Subaru Forester crossbars.
