The Fusion LED Trailer Light # STL211XRFHB will work on your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
When installing The Fusion LED Trailer Light # STL211XRFHB on your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 I recommend using The Deka Bonded 4 Wire # 16-4B-1 which is sold by the foot. Then you can use the Butt Connectors # DW05744-10 and the Quick Splice Wire Connectors # SWC501746-1 to connect the wiring to the appropriate functions.
The Fusion LED Trailer Light pigtail wiring will connect to your Silverado's light functions as followed below:
White Wire - Ground
Brown Wire - Backup LIghts
Red Wire - Brake Lights
Black Wire - Tail Lights
