Recommended Replacement Winch For My Shelby Winch, Model 5351

Question:

I have a jet ski lift with the above referenced winch that needs to be replaced. I see that the recommended option is F143100. My question is, will the wheel for my existing winch fit on that winch?

I do have a solution for you, but it will not include replacing a wheel on your existing winch. Your Shelby Winch, model 5351, is a 1,000 lbs winch with a 2-way ratchet. If you need to replace your existing winch I recommend a winch by Dutton Lainson. They purchased Shelby. So while you will not be able to get a direct Shelby replacement, you will be able to get the Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch w/ Automatic Brake - TUFFPLATE Finish - 1,200 lbs, part # DL14934. This winch is rated for 1,200 lbs, it has an automatic brake, and you can winch in or out with the brake activating automatically. I spoke with a representative from Dutton Lainson and they do not recommend switching the wheel from another winch to any of their winches.
