I do have an option for you to consider as the TorkLift Cannon Hitch Extension # TLE1636 will only fit the 3" receiver found on select 2017 and newer F-350's from the factory. There is not a 3" aftermarket receiver for your 2005 Ford F-250.
The TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLF1002-30 that fits your F-250 will allow you to use the TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension # TLE1536. This extension is 36" long like the Cannon you saw. It will allow for a maximum tongue weight of 650lbs and trailer weight of 6,500lbs. If you use a weight distribution hitch capacity increases to 1,200lbs tongue weight and 12,000lbs trailer weight.
