Question:
What is the width of the power head? I want to mount sideways and be sure that I can open the tailgate on my truck with the trailer attached.

I was able to go out to the warehouse and measure the width of the head on the Bulldog Powered Drive Trailer Jack # BD500199. The head is approximately 4-1/2" wide at its widest point.
