The B&W Companion Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter item # BWRVK3050 is made to be used on flat bed trucks with a raised bed. Specifically flat bed trucks with channels cut into them. I have attached a diagram of the dimensions of the base. This 5th wheel hitch sits too low to work on a standard truck bed.

For your 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500, with the B&W Turnoverball System item # BWGNRK1016, the only option for you is the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch item # BWRVK3500-5W. This hitch has a 20,000 lbs capacity. B&W does not make a Companion 5th wheel hitch that is compatible with the turnover ball system and has a 25,000 lbs capacity. The standard bed 5th wheel hitches have more moving parts which is why the flat bed Companion is higher rated.

The B&W Companion weighs over 150 lbs. If that's not something you're interested in moving by yourself and don't want to have to rely on someone to help you then I recommend purchasing the B&W 5th Wheel Lifting Device for Companion and Patriot Hitches item # BWRVXA3130. This heavy duty steel tool lets you lift your B&W 5th-wheel hitch from your truck bed with a hoist.

Don't forget your lube plate. The Lube Plate for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - 10" Diameter item # RP83002 will prevent scratches on your fifth-wheel's skid plate and ease trailer hookup.
