Question:

I would like to know your recommendation for me setting up a Blue Ox Flat tow system for my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4 Door Sahara. I will need the base plate, tow bar, and any other accessories necessary for hook up to pull behind my RV. I do have the brake buddy for inside the vehicle but will need everything else.

To flat tow your 2022 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited you'll need a tow bar, base plate, tow bar wiring kit, braking system, and safety cables. Since you already have a Brake Buddy for your braking system I have the following recommendations:

Tow Bar: Blue Ox Ascent Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX4370. This tow bar features non-binding latches and a swivel function that makes it easy to connect or disconnect from your base plates, even on unlevel ground.

Base Plate: Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1139. This base plate has easily removable arms that offer a seamless look when you're not flat towing. It bolts directly to your chassis, so no welding is required for installation.

Tow Bar Wiring Kit: Blue Ox still doesn't have a wiring kit yet so I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This diode kit allows you to use your Jeep's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV. This kit will come with a 6-way socket for your Jeep as well as an adapter cable to go from the vehicle to the motorhome.

Note: If your Jeep has ParkSense Proximity Sensors then you will need the Roadmaster Wiring Kit with Smart Diodes for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RM47ZR and the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit # RM-146-7 instead.

Safety Cables: Since the # BX4370 already comes with safety cables you won't need to purchase these separately.
