Can 2019 Toyota RAV4 Fit with 60 Inch Thule Crossbars

Question:

I have a 2019 Rav4 Hybrid with flush mount side rails. Why cant I get anything bigger than 53 inch bars? Is something in the design preventing me from being able to use the 60 inch Evo Wing Bars or even the square bars?

The Thule WingBar Evo crossbars have a limited slot on either end where the legs fit and typically prevent you from going to a larger crossbar size. Thule actually recommends sticking with the 47" crossbars for your 2019 Toyota RAV4 but we had a customer test out the 53" bars on their 2021 and they just fit:

53" WingBar Evo Crossbars - # TH711420

Fit Kit - # TH78RE
Lock Core Kit - # TH450400 (optional)

Attached is a photo of the customer's review for you to check out. In all honesty I don't think I would go larger than 53" crossbars as that might push your length out to the edge of your mirrors and could cause you to take flight. If you let me know what you plan on using this roof rack for I'd be more than happy to make some recommendations for you.
