To carry a canoe with your 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan we are going to need to add a trailer hitch and tow the canoe. Thule used to have a roof rack fit but then a few years ago they upgraded their roof rack system and since then have failed to release a roof rack for the Caravan/Grand Caravan unfortunately. The bright side is that by using a trailer you won't have to lift the canoe nearly as high.
I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98854 since it has a matte black finish that holds up better to the elements, and then the T-Connector Wiring # C56331 to activate the trailer lights. The brackets # 18144 and # C57202 will then help to keep the wiring connector near your trailer hitch (see installation videos for the hitch and wiring). To complete your towing setup you need the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989891.
For a trailer I recommend checking out the Malone EcoLight Sport Trailer for a Heavy Kayak # MAL73FR. You can use a canoe cart like part # MPG521 to make loading your canoe a breeze.
Attached are some review videos for you to check out.
