Mounting A Roof Rack Awning Along Side A Roof Rack Cargo Box

Question:

Are you aware of rack extension bracket? I have a Thule roof rack and cargo basket, and I’d like to add an extension bracket for awning. Thank you!

While there isn't an extension bracket to give you the ability to mount your awning to the cargo basket you can still mount the awning to the roof rack crossbars using the provided brackets.

For example, the Thule Overcast Awning # TH8002AW604 is going to come with brackets that will slide into the C-Channels of the crossbars allowing you to mount the awning. If the issue is that the cargo basket is taking up too much room you can increase the length of your crossbars to allow enough space for the awning to fit.

If you can provide me with which awning you're interested in and the length of your crossbars I can definitely get more in-depth and provide you with a solution.
