Question:
I have a 2010 Ford Expedition with a flat 4 pole trailer wiring harness. I am looking to wire this truck to pull a travel trailer with a brake controller. It looks like I could use the universal 7 pole kit you sell, but unsure which brake controller would work with that?

For your 2010 Ford Expedition with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 installed you really can use virtually any brake controller you prefer. If you have never used one and are unsure here are some I recommend.
The Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 is my favorite as it gives you the ability to customize the LCD screen and also allows for you to troubleshoot trailer brake issues with the controller. This is a proportional controller that adjusts brake output based off how hard it senses the vehicle braking. Once you have it set to the correct amount of force for your trailer it will adjust for light and heavy braking without input.
If you do not want the large controller the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR allows for a very small profile. The control knob can be mounted on your dash where it is hidden or easily seen based on your preference. The main unit will mount behind the dash out our sight. This is also a proportional controller like the P3. You will need the Wiring Harness # RED69FR to install this controller in your Expedition.
