Yep, it sure does! Gel batteries, as well as AGM and flooded lead acid, will all work with the Progressive Dynamics battery charger you mentioned:

- Progressive Dynamics Inteli-Power RV Converter and Smart Battery Charger - 12V - 60 Amps # PD9260C

I have the PD-9260 in my 5th wheel. When I use very expensive AGM batteries, they seem to be charging per several meters that I use, but when dry camping they discharge many times faster than flooded lead acid batteries that I had to purchase in order to be able to travel off grid. I can't seem to get Progressive Dynamics to return any of my technical service calls and I am concerned that I may have to give up my AGMs permanently because they ruin all of my dry camping trips. I don't know what to trouble shoot?

@Vito I'm not sure what's happening, though it sounds like maybe they aren't fully charging? If so, then it's possible the voltage isn't high enough, and per Progressive Dynamics' troubleshooting guide, the voltage output should be 13.6 VDC so you'll want to ensure you're getting that (it should be 14.4 VDC in Boost Mode). They say if you are getting that then check the fuse or breaker in the battery positive lead. Their guide then says check the 120 V.A.C. circuit breaker that supplies AC power to the converter. If it is tripped reset it. If it trips immediately after reset, the converter is bad and must be replaced. If the circuit breaker is not tripped, using an AC voltmeter check the AC Outlet that the converter is plugged into to see if 120 VAC is available. If 120 VAC power is present at the outlet and the converter still has zero volts output, the converter is bad and must be replaced. If no AC power is present at the outlet, you have a wiring problem in the RV.
