What do I need to convert a titan 60 boat trailer drum surge brake to a disk brake. Does this change help with rusting brakes?

Helpful Expert Reply:
To convert your Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator - Drum # T43397007K to Disc # T47457007K you will need to change out the Master Cylinder Assembly # T4820000.
If you do not already have a Reverse Lockout Solenoid # T4748800 you will want to add that as well since there are no free backing disc trailer brakes. A Solenoid Shield # T4835800183 will protect the solenoid if you do not have one.
Using a disc brake kit like the Kodiak # K2R35S will reduce rusting as the rotors and calipers are stainless steel. If you can provide me with the axle information on your boat trailer I can recommend a kit for you.
