Question:
I am looking to set up a towing harness for my vehicle, preferably a 4 pin and a round 7 pin. Our Kia Sorento comes prewired from the factory, but I do not have the harness to plug from behind the splash guard from Kia yet - holding off as that will only get me a 4 pin. I am looking to see if you guys can point me in the right direction, and get me set up with the proper wiring harness. I have installed your Item # C34ER Trailer hitch receiver.

In order to set up a 4 pin and 7-way wiring harness in your 2022 Kia Sorento you are going to need a couple of wiring harnesses. The first one you will need is the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector item # TK26FR. This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness behind your rear tail lights. It will provide you with a 4-flat connector.
To get a 7-way wiring harness you will need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires item # ETBC7 you were looking at. This kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily to the rear of your Kia with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it. This is why you will need the first wiring harness and not just this one.
You will then connect the blue wire to the blue wire on the brake controller, connect the black wire to the positive post on your Sorento's battery, the white wire to ground, and the yellow wire to vehicle's reverse circuit if applicable. This will provide you with the ability to control your trailer's brakes and also provide you with a 12v power wire for you trailer's accessory lights.
