Options for Replacement Hitch for 2021 Winnebago Travato Built Ram ProMaster 3500 Chassis

Question:
Can you replace the 2021 Winnebago Travato factory 350#/3500# hitch to a larger capacity hitch by bolting or welding to the frame? The factory hitch attachment to the coach is weak and light duty, probably due to the location of the RV black and gray tanks?

We have the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 75882 that is a Class III hitch for the 2021 Ram ProMaster 3500 chassis excluding EXT models. This hitch has a maximum gross trailer weight rating of 6,000 lbs. and a maximum tongue weight of 750 lbs.
If you do have an EXT model, I suggest the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 76050. This too is a Class III hitch, it has a maximum gross trailer weight rating of 5,000 lbs. and a maximum tongue weight of 500 lbs. This option will actually fit both the EXT or Non-EXT models'.
Be certain to review the max weight rating of your vehicle per the Owner's Manual. A higher rated hitch is maxed out by the tow ratings of the vehicle.

I too have the 2021 Travato with the 350# TW Curt receiver. I purchased it used and found the receiver bent down below horizontal. I suspect the cause was an overloaded cargo carrier. What hitch receiver can I replace it with that has 500# TW? Keep in mind the Travato has a waste tank hanging between the chassis rails.
