I noticed someone mentioned that they had to shorten the adjustment and release handles in order to accommodate the Rambox. Is there a different hitch and rail kit made for a truck equipped with a Rambox?

There is not a specific hitch and installation kit for Rambox equipped vehicles such as your 2017 Ram 2500. The best solution is to use a fixed position hitch and changing the 5th Wheel RV's pin box to a Sidewinder.. A Sidewinder is needed to allow the proper clearances so the pin box does not hit the RamBoxes.
To find the correct Sidewinder what you will need to know is the manufacturer and model number of the pin box on your fifth wheel and match that with the correct replacement.
For your 2017 Ram 2500 I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # BWRVK3200 for 16K or, the # BWRVK3255 for 18K. Use the B&W Custom Installation Kit with Base Rails, # BWRVK2602 for either option.
