Question:

My rv needs the waste cables replaced. My question is, How can I tell which brand I need to buy from you, Valterra or Bristol ? Can I tell by looking at the handle type? Thanks

The type of cable you need for your gray water waste valve depends on which type of valve you have installed on your RV. If you have a Valterra valve, the Valterra Cable with Valve Handle - 72" # TC72PB works great. This valve is also sold without the handle as part # T1001PBC. In order to install the valve, you do need the Valterra ABS Solvent Cement - 1/4 Pint # A05-0303.

You can indeed tell by looking at the handle. The LaSalle Bristol cable has angled edges. I went ahead and attached product images of both the LaSalle Bristol an Valterra handles to show you the difference.

It is important to note that the # TC72PB is only confirmed to work with Valterra and Bladex systems. If you are looking for the replacement valve cable only, we unfortunately do not carry replacement LaSalle Bristol cable that will work for your application. If you do happen to have a LaSalle Bristol valve, you can replace the valve completely with the Bristol Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank - 3" Diameter - Hub to Spigot # 34466N4AB.
