I have a 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 with OEM prep in my 8-foot bed. Will the B&W companion BWRVK3710 fit under a tonneau cover?

Yes! The B&W Companion # BWRVK3710 will definitely fit under a bed-rail mounted tonneau cover. I went ahead and attached a picture of how the # BWRVK3710 installs on a 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500 to provide you with perspective. This particular neighbor has a roll-up cover installed with the hitch mounted. The picture allows you to see how much clearance you have between the top of the hitch and the bed rails. The fitment of your 2022 model is virtually identical.
For a great cover for your Companion, I recommend the RetraxPRO MX Hard Tonneau Cover - Retractable # RT80485. The great thing about the RetraxPRO MX is that it allows you to have the tonneau partially open so you do not have to open it completely when attaching a fifth-wheel trailer to the Companion. Also, since the cover sits about 1-inch above the bed rails, it provides you with extra clearance.
