Question:
Hello, I have recently acquired a 1983 Casita camper trailer that I plan on doing some restoration work on. I would like to replace or upgrade the existing axle/suspension system, preferably adding a couple or more inches of lift since I do a lot of off-road driving/camping. The camper is the smallest, basic model and I believe it has the Torflex Suspension which seems to be worn out because the trailer bounces like a rubber ball if theres even the slightest bumps in the road. Can you make any recommendations? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

We do have a couple options for your 1983 Casita Camper trailer, if you have a #10 Torflex axle, we have # K71-707-01 which have a 2,300 to 4,000-lb capacity. Or, if you have a #9 Torflex axle, we have # K71-723-01, which have a 2,000-lb capacity. Both kits will lift your axle 2-5/8", and includes all the mounting hardware and spacers needed for installation.
To fix the bounce, you can use the SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs w/ Line Relocation Bracket # TSS-106-40 for underslung axles that are rated for 3-5,000lbs. Or, if you have an overslung axle use # TSS-107-40.
