I have a 2019 ram 2500 with gooseneck. 6 1/2 foot bed. How is the bandw gooseneck 5th wheel? does it work well with shorted?

This also doubles as a rail kit for a Companion fifth wheel hitch like the part # BWRVK3400 which is a slider hitch that fits. The slider hitches give you the additional clearance needed when towing with a short bed truck so that you don't have cab to trailer nose interference.
