Question:
Hello…just bought or traded up to a New 21 Chrysler Pacifica Limited AWD. From a 17 Pacifica Limited FWD. Old van had towing…this particular Mod doesn’t. Here lies my problem. I would love for our new hitch and wiring to look as close to Factory Original as possible. The only difference I see in getting one put on by etrailer is the wiring Harness. Orig came with 7 and 4 pin hookup. Just like this one…HM40975-11933 Would this 40975 fit on the Draw Tite 76046… which has its own bracket already mounted on it. and OR would I need to Ord this mopar factory wiring harness from somewhere else. At a last resort for sure! We would rather not have a 4pin plug hanging off of hitch. We need both 4 and 7 pin. Please help if you can…. There are two screws on the Hopkins adapter… just need to know if it would mount to the two hole bracket already on the Draw Tite Hitch. To bad its a round hitch. Then we just need to hook up the Harness. And I will probably let you use this Van to create a video if interested. Its a 21 Velvet Red Pacifica Limited. Only 500 mi today. thank you ahead time for all your help. Ive heard nothing but good reviews on your work putting hitches etc on different vehicles. Buddy of mine had a hitch put on his New Honda Pilot and you video taped his install… a few yrs ago. I realize the Hopkins adapter is not suited for this Hitch but I think it would work. Good luck

It sounds like your ultimate goal is to have a trailer hitch receiver and a 7-way on your 2021 Chrysler Pacifica. I will start by addressing the # HM40975-11933. This adapter is not confirmed to fit your vehicle so it is not something you would want to use even though the bracket would fit the hitch mounting point.
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76046 is a great choice for your Pacifica. You mentioned it was a round hitch, but that won't make a difference aside from the look which you won't see because of the concealed cross tube. The only thing that will be visible is the receiver tube hanging down below your rear bumper.
In order to add a 7-way to your vehicle you will need to start by adding a 4-way, the Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56322.
Once the 4-way is installed the next step would be to add the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This kit comes with an adapter, wiring, and everything else required for installation. The adapter has connections for a 4-way and 7-way which is what you are looking for.
I have attached some pictures showing what the hitch and # ETBC7 will look like on your Pacifica after installation for you to check out.
