Yes, the Power Watchdog Surge Protector with Bluetooth, # HU47FR, for 50 amp and the 30 Amp version, # HU97FR can be used with a generator. However, many generators (portable) have a floating ground/neutral. If you do have a floating neutral generator then you will also need the Hughes Autoformers Ground Neutral Bonded Plug for Generators, # HU33FR to bond the neutral and ground thus preventing an open ground or open neutral error fault to occur.
