Question:

Which hitch is best for carrying a bike rack on my 2022 Honda CR-V Hybrid? The Curt and etrailer brand look very similar, I'm not sure which to choose. I need a 2 inch hitch.

Either hitch would work perfectly as a mount for your bike rack.

The Curt # C13397 and the etrailer brand # e98848 Class III hitches are identical with the exception of the powder coat finish used on them. The Curt uses a glossy finish, while the etrailer brand uses a matte finish.

Both hitches have identical capacities and would install in the exact same manner. I believe the matte finish matches the blacked out trim used on many vehicles, and tends to 'disappear' a little better under the vehicle, making it a bit less visible.

If you don't have a preference about the finish on the hitch, you can choose the less expensive of the two and have no worries that you've sacrificed anything by choosing the lower-cost option.
