Will the Curt Hitch Receiver Block the Kick Sensor on a 2021 Toyota Highlander?

Does the lift gate sensor still work after the Curt hitch is installed on a 2021 Toyota Highlander?

Due to where the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C99FR installs on the 2021 Toyota Highlander it does block the view of the lift gate sensor. It does still work but in a much limited capacity towards the outside of the bumper away from the hitch receiver.
