Is the brake light relay needed on my vehicle? Some say yes and some say no. The brake lights come on when I apply brakes with engine off

Since the brake lights of your 2021 Jeep Gladiator come on your when the engine is off, and because your Jeep has a combined lighting system - where the brake lights act as both the brake signals and the turn signals - you will in fact need a relay:
