Question:
I currently own a Demco DM8550043 Recon for base rails that I used to tow my Grand Design 5th wheel rv. I just purchased a 2022 Chevy 2500 HD, standard bed with the factory 5th wheel prep package. I’d like to keep the Demco product and I believe I have two choices, but looking for the best alternative which would keep the RV as level as possible without being too nose high. I’m utilizing the Turning point pinbox with a Demco wedge. I want to keep that setup. #1 Purchase The Demco GM Puck to rail adapter DM6333 and put my existing Demco Recon onto it. Or #2 Purchase a Demco Side plate DM57VR and Saddle bracket DM24VR, then put my head off my Recon onto it. Thus making a complete DM37VR. I don’t have all the specs so I’m looking for information/measurements on which choice #1 or #2 would keep the RV level and not too nose high? Which one measures the lowest of the two hitch setups once installed in to the pucks in the truck bed to top of hitch plate?

Since you are already using the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # DM8550043 with above bed rails you know this height measurement for comparison. Using the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package, # DM6333 instead of the above bed rails sets the mounting point of the Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # DM8550043 at about 2-1/4" above the bed. Sometimes the seating of the Rail Adapter will vary within the puck system, but this is a negligible value. The Demco Recon 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # DM8550043 has hitch height settings of 15-1/2", 17-1/4", and 18" so add the 2-1/4" value these. This makes your listed option 1, the minimum height setting of approximately 17-3/4".
Going with your option 2, the Demco Hijacker UMS Double Pivot 5th Wheel Hitch for Chevrolet/GMC Prep Package, # DM37VR, has a height adjustment range of 16" - 19".
If your goal is to go with whichever is the least in height, then I suggest you go with your option 2 of purchasing the Saddle Bracket for Demco Hijacker, # DM24VR along with Side Plates, # DM57VR to have the equivalent of a Demco Hijacker, # DM37VR.
