Question:
Will the Kuat NV22G work by grabbing the REAR wheel instead of the front. One of our bikes has a front fender. We are looking to load 2 emtbs that weigh 55lb and 65lb. and have unique frame/downtube configurations. We tried the Thule easyfold, and could not get our bikes mounted on this rack due to the frame mount length. We are also concerned that the Yakima might have the same problem.

The wheel mount of the Kuat NV 2.0 Bike Rack for 2 Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount - Gunmetal Gray # NV22G doesn't have to rest against the front forks of a bike when clamping down so you should have no problems flipping the bike around and having the rear tire be clamped down on. This rack has a per bike weight capacity of 60lbs. Since you're supposed to remove the batteries before hauling e-bikes this can help drop the weight of your e-bikes to fit within the capacity of the rack. If your e-bike is 65lbs without the battery on it then you won't be able to use this rack and will instead need to use a rack like the Lets Go Aero V-Lectric FAT PRO Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes - 2" Hitches - Wheel Mount # LGA77FR which will mount to the wheels of your bikes using straps and has a per bike weight capacity of 75lbs.
Maximum tire width of the # NV22G with the standard wheel straps is 3". You can increase this to 4.8" using the Phat Bike Adapter Kit for Kuat Bike Racks # APBK.
