Question:

I have a 2022 Toyota Tacoma I already added a hitch but need to get 4-way wiring to add for when I tow a small trailer without brakes, I also have a carrier that needs the connector for lights. What do you recommend?

For your 2022 Toyota Tacoma I recommend the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56349. This wiring harness will provide you with the 4-way connector you are needing and has the highest amp capacity. This custom-fit harness connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-Connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery and insert the provided fuse. If your hitch does not already have a bracket mounted to hold the 4-way connector you can pick up the No-Drill Mount for Electrical Mounting Bracket # 18140 and the Mounting Bracket 4-Pole Flat # 18144. This will provide you with a way to mount your 4-way connector to keep the appearance cleaner and allow for easy access to your 4-way.

Something else to consider would be the Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull 4-Flat Extension # HM48144. This will allow you to have a 12" extension from your 4-way to ensure you can reach your trailer or cargo carriers connector.
