Best Flat Tow Brake System for a 2022 Ford Ranger

Question:

I am looking for a braking system for our towed, which is a 2022 Ford Ranger XLT 4X4 Crew Cab. I have it narrowed down to the Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play Item # SM99251or the Demco 9599004 Delta Force. Any comments and observations would be appreciated as far as ease of install and use.

The Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 is my favorite braking system by far and the one I recommend installing on your 2022 Ford Ranger, especially if you'll be towing multiple times a year. This system has a bit more of an involved installation up-front, but after the initial installation you literally just have to connect the breakaway kit and flip a switch to get the system ready for towing.

The Demco SBS Delta Force SM99242 (discontinued) is a good braking system as well, but I usually only recommend the portable braking systems if you only plan on towing maybe once or twice a year and you want a super easy installation. The downside is having to store the braking system and add that to your checklist of things to get ready and in place before towing.

I'm attaching review videos of both systems for you to check out but the SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO is definitely my brake system of choice ffor your application.
