I was able to locate the owners manual for your 2008 Toyota Tacoma. According to the owners manual your Tacoma can not be flat towed. According to the manual, if you have an automatic transmission you will need all 4 wheels off of the ground, so you will need a trailer for your vehicle. If you have a manual transmission you can use a tow dolly such as the Demco Kar Kaddy X Tow Dolly w/ Disc Brakes # DM9713093. You would need to put the transmission in neutral if it is a 2 wheel drive model, and the transmission in neutral while also putting the control switch knob to "H2" if it is a 4 wheel drive model.
