Question:

I looking for a rear light kit to mount to my Saris MTR rear hitch bike carrier. I have the extension for a total of 4 bikes. Can you tell me if this kit will work and the brackets that I would need? Also, does this have enough length on the wiring harness? light kit Item # 98174LED brackets Item # BK70BB Or if you have any other recommendations or accessories that would help make the install easier. Much appreciated,

I would be happy to help you set up your rear light kit item # 98174LED. I just called my rep at Saris to get the total length of your MTR Bike Rack for 4 Bikes. He said that bike rack is 56" long from the hitch to the back of the last extension. The LED Light Kit item # 98174LED has an overall length of 88" but the driver's side portion looks to be shorter as it comes out of the y at only 46". I recommend the Hopkins Endurance Easy-Pull 4-Flat Extension item # HM47004. This is a 24" extension that will ensure you have enough length to route the wire through your bike rack to connect the lights to your vehicle. The Trailer Light Mounting Bracket for 6-1/2" Oval Trailer Lights, Steel - Black Powder Coat item # BK70BB will work perfectly with those lights and allow you to mount the brackets to your Saris bike rack.
