What trailer hitch do you recommend for my 2021 Subaru Forester? I will also need the 4 way plug for hauling a trailer.

I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C47HR for your 2021 Subaru Forester. This receiver has a hidden cross tube so it has a cleaner factory look to it. It will replace the bumper bar behind the rear bumper fascia on your Forester. The receiver has a maximum tongue weight capacity of 350lbs and a maximum trailer capacity of 3,500lbs. Be sure not to exceed the maximum weight ratings given by Subaru for your specific Forester.

For the 4-way I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118467. This unit will plug into the factory connector located in your rear compartment. This will allow you to haul most small trailers and use Auxiliary Lights # C53201 with your bike rack or cargo carrier that blocks the view of your tail lights on your Forester. A Curt Easy Mount Bracket # C58001 is great for securing the 4-way to your receiver.
