Recommended Tonneau Cover For A 2012 Ford F-350 With Fuel Tank Tool Box

Hi, I’m researching tonneau covers for my 2012, F-350 long bed pickup. We tow a 5th wheel and have a fuel tank/ tool box that does not stick above the sides. If I’ve read correctly, the BAK79331 will work. What diameter is the cover when rolled up? Will the tool box lid be able to open when the X4 is rolled up? Do you have a different recommendation? Thank you.

Base on the pictures of your fuel tank/tool box it looks like the lid sits level with the bedrails of your 2012 Ford F-350 so the BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK49ZR is going to sit too low to be compatible. The aluminum backing will also roll up too large for you to open the lid on your tool box.
Instead I recommend the TruXedo Deuce 2 Soft Tonneau Cover # TX769601 which will sit above the bedrails and will roll up to allow you to hook up your fifth wheel and use the rear hinge to fold the cover towards the tailgate for truly full access to your tool box. This tonneau cover will clamp to the bedrails for a no drill installation and is compatible with stake pocket mounted accessories like the Adarac Pro Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack # A25FR so you won't have to decide between a tonneau cover or ladder rack if you need one down the road.
