Why Does My Internal Tire Sensor for TST TPMS Systems # TST-507-INT-S1 Keep Alerting?
Published 09/14/2021 >
Question:
The TST wheel bands came with my new RV trailer. I have made sure that my tires have 65 pounds of air in each of them. I followed the setup instructions to set the low pressure limits and the proper ID of each wheel. When I turn on the monitor, after running through several cycles of each of the 4 tires, it starts alarming LOW PRESSURE on some of the tires. My question is ... does the RV need to be in motion before the sensors read and report the data properly to the monitor? If not, how might you suggest I correct this issue?

I have a solution for you. I went ahead and contacted my tech at Truck System Technologies, and he said that the RV does not have to be in motion before the Internal Tire Sensor for TST TPMS Systems # TST-507-INT-S1 accurately reports the data.
As far as your alarm issue, it often happens when the monitor is not set up correctly with the axles of your RV and/or trailer. In order to correct this, each tire must be programmed for the axle that it is on (the high pressure and low pressure alarm). If the tires are programmed in a way that says they are all on the same axle, the low pressure alarm may sound even when there is no issue with the air pressure in the tire.
