Troubleshooting A TST Internal Sensor That Randomly Turns On/Off And Gives False Readings

Sirs - have a TPMS # TST-507-INT-6-C on my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 dually for about a year ... rear inner driver side sensor stopped sending a month ago but will randomly turn on and start sending ... sending occurs off and on, mostly off ... when off, display either reads inch or 00inch for pressure in that tire ... other 5 are working fine

If one of the sensors in your TST TPMS # TST-507-INT-6-C is randomly turning off/on and only reading 1 or 00 for the tire pressure that leads me to believe the battery is dying and not allowing the sensor to properly operate. The batteries are expected to have a 3-5 year lifespan, but there are instances where the battery could prematurely expire. If you were having issues with more than one sensor then it would most likely be a signal issue, but with it being just one it's got to be a bad battery or the sensor itself is faulty and needs to be replaced with part # TST-507-INT-S1.
