What is the Life Span of the Steel Band on the TST Internal Tire Sensors

Question:

Considering installing the internal TST banded sensors but I know Ford installed the banded style for only two years and stopped because the bands would break and eventually damage the tires internally. Any knowledge of the current TST securement band life? Do they have an internal valve stem mounting option? Thanks!

I contacted the manufacturer in regards to the life span of the band on the Internal Tire Sensor # TST-507-INT-S1. They informed me that the band is made of stainless steel and if installed properly will outlast the life span of the battery which is 4-5 years. For a set that includes 4 internal sensors, the monitor and signal booster you can get the # TST34FR.

For a valve stem option there is the # TST-507-RV-4-C.
