Can the RVR3 ball mount be used with a 1 7/8 inch ball?

Yes, the Trailer Valet Combo Ball Tower Mount for RVR Trailer Dolly - 2-5/16" Hitch Ball, part # RVRBB225, can be used with a 1-7/8" ball mount. However, per the rep at Trailer Valet, the 1-7/8" ball mount is not compatible with the Trailer Valet RVR3 Remote-Controlled Trailer Dolly w/ Hitch Ball Mount - Wireless Remote - 3,500 lbs, part # TVRVR3-BB225. If you go with one of the other Trailer Valet trailer dollies please keep in mind that the thread is proprietary. So the Trailer Valet Trailer Dolly will need a Trailer Valet ball mount. The part number for the Replacement Hitch Ball for Trailer Valet Trailer Dollies - 1-7/8" is, part # TV67FR.

For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball version of the #TVBB2 you'd need the Replacement Hitch Ball part #TV67FR with the replacement base part #TV29FR. Or if you already have the base you could use just the hitch ball #TV67FR.
