What Would Capacity of Trailer Axle Be that Measures 2-1/4 inch

Question:

I just picked up a homemade tandem axle cargo trailer and want to determine axle/spring weight capacity. Axles: ~2.25 Springs: 4 x 1.75inch per spring ~26.5 eye to eye Electric brake diameter: ~11.5 5 lug 3500? or 2000# ?

3,500 lb trailer axles are typically 2-3/8 inch in diameter and the 2,000 axles are 1-1/2 inch to 1-3/4 inch so based on what you mentioned you most likely have a 3,500 lb axle.
