Question:
Hello, I am trying to figure out either a replacement hub for my trailer or bearings with races and seals. The trailer is an older shorelander, 1986 I believe, which they no longer support according to their website. I have deduced the hub is SS733 which I am unable to locate anywhere. it is a 5 on 4 1/2 hub, 1 1/4inch x 3/4. The hub on the trailer had LM67048 inner and LM11949 bearings installed. I measured the spindle, tapered, and the inner dimension measured with a digital caliper is 1 1/2inch and the outer was 3/4. This doesnt make much sense to me, shouldnt the inner bearing have a 1 1/2inch diameter? Would a 1 1/4inch diameter bearing be used for the inner in this setup? Is there an alternative to the shorelandr SS733? The only setup I can find w/ those dimensions is a 4 x 4 4/1 on this site, which obviously wouldnt work with my current setup. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I think that the 1-1/2" measurement that you pulled from your spindle is the landing for the grease seal. Your Inner Bearing # LM67048 (1.250 inner diameter) and Outer Bearing # LM11949 (0.750" inner diameter) do match what the SS733 hub shows as a 1-1/4 x 3/4" hub.
We do have the bearings, races and grease seals options that you will need to replace those components of your axle but currently we do not have a hub or hub assembly that will fit your current spindle.
Inner Bearing # LM67048
Inner Race # LM67010
Outer Bearing # LM11949
Outer Race # LM11910
You will need to verify your grease seal as there are 2 available with the 1.500 inner diameter.
Grease Seal # 10-9 (1.987" outer diameter)
Grease Seal # SL150 (2.332" outer diameter)
As there is not a hub option you may be best to look at a replacement axle. If you can send me your hub face to hub face measurement along with the spring seat center to spring seat center I can help you find a replacement axle with everything you need to replace the axle for one with current parts available.
